NYCC is the West Coast equivalent of San Diego Comic Con. It’s grown rapidly over the past couple of years and, as a result, has been used as the announcement ground for Marvel and Netflix products. With NYCC happening barely a month from now, we are bound to start finding out all the panels that will be present at the New York-based con as well as which companies wll be there.

Marvel TV announced today that there will be panels on Netflix’s upcoming series Iron Fist as well as panels focusing on FX’s Legion and Ghostrider’s upcoming appearance on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Noticably absent is a panel on Marvel’s Luke Cage series, which is premiering on September 30th. Considering that it just had a panel at San Diego Comic Con and it will be premiering a week before NYCC starts, I don’t think it’s necessary to host a panel for the show.

Marvel will be having a panel of some sort each day of the con. Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D will be the subject of a Main Stage panel on Friday, October 7, from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm. Jeph Loeb, the head of Marvel TV, will be moderating the panel. So far, the cast members who will be attending have not be announced. There is news that this panel will debut a brand-new episode of the show. Most likely it may be the first episode of season four of S.H.I.E.L.D.

From 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Saturday, October 8th, Loeb will moderate a panel again on the Main Stage. Nothing has been verified regarding the content of this panel, but it’s safe to assume that the panel may include information surrounding Iron Fist and will have appearance from Finn Jones (Danny Rand) and the series creator Scott Buck. There may be casting announcements, which is a given for any big comic con, and possibly more footage since they’ve been busy shooting recently.

Sunday, October 9th, Marvel will be concluding its NYCC panel run with a panel on FX’s new series Legion. This panel will be held in the Hammerstein Ballroom instead of the Main Stage. Not much is known about what exactly will be happening at the panel. We don’t know who will show up from the cast or crew. However, there will be an exclusive sneak peak of Legion being shown as revealed by the Marvel press release.

That is the information we have so far. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer to NYCC and we’ll post updates of what’s happening in the panels during NYCC’s run. Let us know what you think of these panels in the comments below.
