Before Suicide Squad even hit the theaters, there was a rumor that Harley Quinn would be starring in her own solo movie. Turns out that has now been confirmed to be true.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Margot Robbie, who played the role of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, has signed a deal with Warner Brothers to develop and produce a spin-off featuring Harley Quinn and other female characters of the DC Universe.

I will admit Robbie as Harley Quinn was one of the stronger aspects of the Suicide Squad film. She successfully captured everything about the character. So to be able to see her continue with the character, even to expand on it, would be an awesome thing in my book.

Those who read the comics know that eventually Harley Quinn gets sick of the Joker’s abuse towards her, which leads to her leaving him to try going off on her own. This leads to her pairing up with Poison Ivy, and forming a friendship with her. The two form an inseparable bond as they run rampant all over Gotham.

To see Harley and Poison Ivy teaming up on the big screen would be a dream come true. If they really want to go the all female  route, instead of them being at odds against Batman, they could be going against Catwoman or even Batwoman.

There is definitely so many ways they could go about this. The possibilities are endless. All I know is it will be great seeing Harley Quinn again doing what she does best.

No release date or title has been officially announced yet.
