Marvel's The Punisher
Marvel’s The Punisher

We all saw how Jon Bernthal came to embody Frank Castle in Daredevil Season 2. However, if you had ANY doubts that this guy wasn’t up to snuff before, the new full-length Marvel’s The Punisher trailer released today by Netflix will convince you otherwise.

The official release date is being kept secret by Marvel and Netflix but, as previously reported, we should be finding out sometime during or after NYCC 2017 next month.

Aside from Jessica Jones, The Punisher series is probably my most anticipated series choice. When he premiered in Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil, there were originally concerns that this incarnation would be as disappointing as previous incarnations. However, Jon blew us all away with his performance as the villain turned antihero.

The official synopsis for Marvel’s The Punisher is below:

After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld.

via Netflix

Bernthal will be joined by Ben Barnes as Billy Russo (Jigsaw for comic book fans), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Paul Schulze as Rawlins, Jaime Ray Newman as Sarah Lieberman, and Michael Nathanson as Sam Stein.

Marvel’s The Punisher premieres globally █████ 2017, only on Netflix.
