Tuesday, September 19th Skydance is hosting a screening of Terminator 2: Judgement Day in 3d at the Paramount Theatre in LA. Prior to the screening is a conversation with James Cameron and Tim Miller “about the upcoming Terminator” and the Evite event reads
“Join filmmakers James Cameron and Tim Miller on the Paramount Lot for an exclusive conservation with The Hollywood Reporter’s Matt Belloni about their collaboration on the upcoming Terminator.”
So, this seems to confirm that Tim Miller will be involved in the next film unless there’s another Terminator project coming up that we don’t know about.

Making a new Terminator film is an interesting decision, the past 3 films have underperformed domestically. Terminator 3 made $150m and Terminator Salvation made $125m both with a $200m budget and Terminator: Genisys made just under $90m with a $155m budget. Adding in their global Box Office helps them make their budget back, but they’re still not what would be considered Box Office Hits. So what is the new film? Is it going to be “Terminator 6” or is it going to be a reboot of the franchise? IMDB has it listed as the “Untitled Terminator Reboot” but, that’s also not confirmed. So, what do you guys want to see, a complete reboot of the franchise or a new film featuring everyone’s favorite reformed robot assassin, Arnold Schwartzenegger?
