Just a few years ago, Electronic Arts made a conversational decision by deciding to depart from the Electronic Entertainment Expo, otherwise known as E3. This convention draws hundreds of thousands of video gamers and video game fans to Los Angeles to check out all of the new games getting released both that year and the following year as well. In its place, instead of the company having a booth, they host an event called EA Play, where convention goers are able to check out and play off the new games Ea is releasing.
This year at E3 2018, EA Play will be happening again. The company confirmed that EA Play will be happening and take place before E3 starts, which the convention will be June 9-11 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. A location hasn’t been announced yet, but last year it was hosted in the heart of Hollywood, and not next door to the convention center, where E3 is held.
The show is set to kick off on Saturday, June 9th at2 PMM local time. The show will most likely kick off with the EA Press Conference to show off what games are coming up in the year ahead. And for those that can’t watch the conference live in LA, they will most likely stream it online. And then from there, they will open their doors for players to check out gameplay for the games getting released.
Among the games getting shown off, obviously, Madden 19 and FIFA 19 will be showcased there, among other new releases. Bioware’s Anthem will most likely be shown there, even though it got kicked back until 2019. A Way Out could also end up being showcased, along with the new Battlefield game, and maybe some traditional Ea releases, but will just have to wait and see.
