It was just last week in Tokyo at D23 when Disney gave us a little sneak peek of the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge resort which will be directly inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.
Yesterday Disney Parks Blog posted a couple new images of the resort. In the concept art you’ll be able to see a couple of the experiences that guests and Star Wars fanatics all over will be able to have.
Check out the images and the videos that came with them below.
Here’s a taste of what we know about the resort:
“This first-of-its-kind resort will combine luxury with a complete immersion into an authentic Star Wars story. Guests’ journey through space will start when everyone departs together for a multiday Stars Wars adventure by boarding a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during a voyage through the galaxy. At the resort, guests immediately become active citizens of the galaxy and can dress up in the proper attire. Every resort window will also have a view of space. The opportunity for immersion at this resort will also stand out among all Disney resorts around the globe, as it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a total Star Wars experience.”
I’m not sure what’s more exciting. The fact that I’ll be able to sleep and wake up at a window looking over Endor or that I’ll be able to keep the story going all thru out Galaxy’s Edge. What I’m not looking forward to is that Florida weather.
Imagine waking up to a Boba Fett wake up call. Hey a guy can dream.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in 2019, first at the Disneyland Resort and later in the year at the Walt Disney World Resort.
