It’s hard to believe but there were some great actors in the Star Wars Prequels. From Natalie Portman to Keira Knightley, who would have known there would be some big stars in the making in these films. One such actor would hands down be Joel Edgerton who played Uncle Owen, Luke Skywalker’s famous Blue Milk drinking uncle. He’s already said in past interviews that he’d return to reprise his Episode III role in a heartbeat, and this week he actually went in depth a bit about it.

With all the rumors coming out that an Obi-Wan Kenobi film is finally in the works, and it’s the next film being made after Episode IX is done filming, it makes sense that we get an Uncle Owen cameo. While promoting the new film Red Sparrow, Edgerton sat down with Yahoo and was then asked about the possibility. “First part of your question is: could he come back? Yes. Should he come back? Maybe even more of a yes! “I think me and Ewan [McGregor] and Liam [Neeson] in a movie is pretty good. Absolutely! I’d be totally down.”

McGregor played famously played Obi-Wan in the prequels, while Neeson played Qui-Gon Jinn, who died in Episode I: The Phantom Menace. McGregor has already made it pretty clear that he wants to return for the film, and it’s a no-brainer.He said in January:

“There’s a lot of talks, and I’d be happy to play him again, but I don’t know anything more than you do,” he confessed.

“I saw the new one over Christmas and I thought it was really, really beautiful.”
