If you are both a fan of the Star Wars prequels and a collector, I have some great news for you.
The San Diego Comic-Con has already established itself as one of the premier Comic-Cons for some of the best cosplay around; in recent years it’s also become the go-to Con for collectors. Fans have come to expect great things in San Diego when it comes to Con exclusives, and this year, especially if you’re a fan of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, you’re going to be excited.
Hot Toys has officially announced its Star Wars Con-exclusive: A sixth-scale, Dark Side Anakin Skywalker figure as the character is seen in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Never one to disappoint, Hot Toys captures Hayden Christensen’s likeness with near perfection, including screen-accurate eyes, hair, expression and over thirty points of articulation to recreate any scene of your choosing, from the attack on the Jedi Temple, to his force-choking encounter with Padmé, to his ultimate duel with Obi Wan.
Standing at over twelve inches tall, the piece includes: nine interchangeable hand pieces; highly detailed Jedi garb including robe; and multiple light saber variants, one of which is an LED, battery-operated, light-up saber.
Giving this exclusive, collectible figure its finishing touch is a specially designed diorama base featuring the Mustafar panning droid from which Anakin would leap to confront Kenobi and make his journey to the Dark Side complete.
This must-have collectible will be available at the Sideshow Collectibles booth (#1929) at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, July 19-22, 2018, together with other, notable prequel collectible figures of Count Dooku and a lightsaber-wielding Yoda!
Even at the wallet-denting price of $265.00, this Anakin Skywalker Con-exclusive is likely to go fast. Thankfully, you can view and pre-order the piece from Sideshow Collectibles here:
The only catch is that you must pick it up at the Con in person. See you there!
