David Tennant Joins Rooster Teeth’s gen:LOCK

Rooster Teeth just announced David Tennant will join the cast of their anime-style web series gen:LOCK.  He will be joining other celebrities lending their voices to the series including Michael B. Jordan and Dakota Fanning.  Rooster Teeth scheduled the release of gen:LOCK for January 2019 on its subscription service.

David Tennant is Who?

David Tennant gained world-wide attention when he took on the role of The Doctor in the Doctor Who television series.  The titular character looks human but is really a time travelling alien.  When near death the Doctor “regenerates” and takes on a completely new persona.  Thus, Tennant was the Tenth Doctor for five years on the long running BBC sci-fi series.  “Tennant is sci-fi royalty and we are thrilled to have him join this amazing cast,” stated Burnie Burns, Rooster Teeth co-founder and chief creative officer.

David Tennant has continued to gain popularity with his starring roles in television drama series such as Broadchurch and Jessica Jones.  He is also not new to voice acting.  Tennant currently voices Scrooge McDuck in Disney’s animated series DuckTales.  He has also played the Fugitoid in Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Spitelout in DreamWorks Dragons.
