Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is opening next year in both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort. The new area is going to be a super immersive experience for both new Star Wars fans and the old school fans as well.

And we know Disney World is always trying to add new areas and experiences within their parks. We’re seeing this happening already with the addition of the Guardians Of The Galaxy rollercoaster and the Ratatouille ride in Epcot. We’re also seeing this with the new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad. Those are going to be opening up in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And we even saw that when Disney’s Magic Kingdom opened the Fantasyland expansion, and when the Toy Story Land expansion opened as well. So, you already know that the Walt Disney Imagineering team can put together something amazing.

Also, because Disney owns Lucasfilm, there could be a potential for a new land to be built. And it’s sounding like another one of Harrison Ford’s characters could be involved with it.

Indiana Jones Coming to Disney World?

That’s right, Orlando Weekly is reporting that Disney Would is potentially planning on making a mini Indiana Jones land. And it’s sounding like it will be placed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This would be pretty cool to see. Disney’s Hollywood Studios already has the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show. With an Indiana Jones land, they could always add some other rides from the other films.

Remember, there is the potential of Indiana Jones 5 to come out possibly in 2020. Thus this Indiana Jones land would make the most sense. It would create the perfect tie-in to what is likely going to be Harrison Ford’s last romp as the adventuring  archeologist. But, as with any rumor, until anything is confirmed this is still just a rumor.
