2019 is already shaping up to be one of the biggest years in Star Wars history. Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters this coming December, for one thing. Add to that both The Clone Wars returning and The Mandalorian debuting on Disney+ and you’ve already got an epic year ahead. For collectors, however, this could be an exceptional year, as well. That’s especially true if you fancy Hasbro’s Black Series figures. And now you can pre-order General Grievous.

One of the distinct highlights from the prequel trilogy was General Grievous, the cyborg leader of Dooku’s Separatist droid army. He was a compelling, inventive, and visually stunning character whose story was more thoroughly told throughout The Clone Wars animated series. His visage was one of the most highly desired, and demanded, for representation in figure form. Hasbro has not disappointed.

General Grievous Now Available for Pre-Order

General Grievous joins a slew of other characters amongst the Hasbro ranks. The toymaker announced many of the others, including multiple additions to the Vintage Series, at New York Comic Con in October. StarWarsNewsNet.com tells us that the cough-inflicted commander of droids, conversely, comes to the 6″ Black Series. And he comes armed. The figure comes complete with four lightsabers and a droid blaster. Highly poseable, the figure can mimic many of the character’s most famous (or infamous) on-screen stances.

The General Grievous figure is available for pre-order at multiple outlets, including GameStop. The regular price ranges between $29.99 and $34.99. Sure, that’s a bit steep, but is it really too high a price for one of the most iconic characters in all of Star Wars? I mean, he even got his own variant comic book cover in the Dr. Aphra series this past fall:

Whether you’re a big fan of the prequels or not, you shouldn’t miss this opportunity to pre-order the General Grievous figure now. Who knows how many will be available? Notwithstanding, you’re going to have to wait.  Estimate shipping won’t occur until sometime in March.
