I heard it from a friend, who heard it from a friend, who heard it from another’s father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate that the Star Wars: Episode IX trailer will be released on the third Tuesday of the blood moon when Mercury in retrograde….
I know. It’s absurd. It seems like every day there are new Star Wars rumors and speculations. That’s especially true when it comes to the Episode IX trailer. We don’t make the rumors, but we try to stay abreast of them so that we can keep you as up to date as possible and you don’t miss anything. Just yesterday we told you that Princess Leia and Obi-Wan Kenobi could both be coming to Disney+, each with their own series. Likewise, we previously told you about the trailer rumors coming out of the UK. Well, here’s another one.
Star Wars: Episode IX Trailer Rumored for April
Initially we thought perhaps we might get a trailer in advance of or together with Captain Marvel’s release on March 8. It the source reporting to Star Wars News Net is correct, however, that may not be the case. It seems that we’re right back to what everyone had guessed initially. Namely, there is a good likelihood that Disney and Lucasfilm will drop the Episode IX trailer at Star Wars Celebration this coming April.
The studio has done things like that in the past, simulcasting snippets, previous and trailers at Celebration during panels. Given that it’s already nearing the end of February, a Star Wars Celebration release is looking more and more likely. Especially if the Episode IX trailer will, as rumored, also be attached to Avengers: Endgame. That releases April 26. All of this information, of course, comes from “a very credible source.”
In any event, the always secretive JJ Abrams has remained tight-lipped about the Episode IX trailer release date, and the film’s title. I guess we’ll just have to wait. At least that’s what I heard….
