[WARNING: Article contains spoilers for Star Wars: The Mandalorian.] Move over, baby Groot. Sorry for those in Europe who haven’t yet been able to stream The Mandalorian on Disney+, but there is a new cutest baby in the galaxy. Yes, that’s right: enter Baby Yoda. (We know, we know, it’s not really a baby Yoda, but we can’t very well call it “baby of whatever the hell Yoda’s species is” now can we?) And if you were hoping to take the cute little green bugger home for Christmas…. You may be in luck.

The character, who we know only as “The Child,” was the Mandalorian’s mark in the first episode of the first-ever live-action Star Wars series in franchise history. Instead of allowing fellow bounty hunter IG-11 to “bring him in cold,” the Mandalorian blew IG-11’s proverbial brains out and left with The Child. The going wouldn’t be easy, however. First some thrifty Jawas eviscerated the Razor Crest, followed by a throw-down with a giant, muddy, battle unicorn. And then… Mando and Baby Yoda were on their way.

Baby Yoda arrives in time for Christmas

Seriously. How cute is little…. thing? (Image: Lucasfilm Ltd.)

Initially, the character wasn’t included in early marketing so as to keep the surprise. Lucasfilm was surprisingly successful in doing so until the show aired. The newest Star Wars character became a fan favorite the minute its bulging wide eyes graced our screens. According to CNBC, Disney and Hasbro are pulling out all the stops to get Baby Yoda into everyone’s stockings for Christmas:

Apparel and accessories featuring the yet unnamed creature will soon be available through Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Hot Topic and Box Lunch, a person familiar with the company plans said. These items could arrive as early as Friday.

Other products will also arrive at the Disney Store, ShopDisney and at the Disney Parks before the holidays. In addition, presales for toys and plush will be available in the coming weeks. It is uncertain when that merchandise will be shipped.”

If you can’t wait that long for Baby Yoda, however, there are two shirts available on Amazon now. You can order them, respectively, HERE, and HERE.

Happy hunting, Mandalorians. And may the Force be with you this holiday season.
