Boba Fett fans all over the Outer Rim have been waiting a while to see their favorite bounty hunter in action. And after being told that the Fett movie and live-action series wasn’t going to happen, fans kind of gave up. At least we got The Mandalorian right? Well, Boba Fett fans it may not be the live-action Fett we wanted but there is a good possibly that we will see him again in animated form in season 7 of The Clone Wars.

The last time we saw Boba Fett

Fans that haven’t watched The Clone Wars, the last time you saw Boba Fett he was holding his father’s (Jango Fett) helmeted head after Mace Windu liberated it from Jango in Attack of the Clones. Now, Fans that have seen the series saw a young Boba Fett plotting his revenge against Windu. And with the help of Aurra Sing and Bossk he was able to roll out his plan. While he did cause a lot of headaches for Windu, he would fail and get caught. Fett and Bossk ended up in a Republic prison on Coruscant. There they met Obi-Wan who was disguised as a prisoner. Obi-Wan was able to get them to start a riot so he could escape with Cad Bane. During this riot we are not sure what happened to Fett and Bossk, but we do see Fett later on leading a group of bounty hunters.

So why bring all this up?

So why do we think we will see Boba Fett here in the near future? Well, with The Clone Wars Season 7 coming to Disney+ on February 17th there are a lot of questions about what will happen and who will we see. Well, some of that may have already been answered for us. You might remember back at STAR WARS: Celebration in Orlando fans were treated to some unfinished footage of what was to be an episode for the new season. While it never aired in the series, it is considered canon from the Lucasfilm Story Group. In the footage below you will see Fett in his familiar armor getting ready for a showdown with Cad Bane. Could this be because of what happened at the prison? Like always we will have to wait and hope we get to see this footage edited for the new season.
