Venture Bros characters

News broke a couple weeks ago about the cancellation of the Adult Swim series, The Venture Bros. The news came not just to fans, but to the creators as well. Series creator and writer Jackson Publick took to Twitter to break the news for fans. Christopher McCulloch (Publick’s actual name) was heartbroken and disappointed about it. We all were.

Fans were understandably upset. Venture Bros season 7 ended on several huge cliffhangers. Fans wanted to see how the show would resolve it’s storylines. At the time fans were given a spark of hope when Adult Swim’s official Twitter responded that they were looking into a way to continue the series.

HBO Max might have answered fan’s prayers. HBO Max executive Andy Fossell recently took to Twitter to say he’s many messages from Venture Bros. fans about reviving the series on HBO Max.

The Venture Bros fans are passionate, but incredibly civil. I’ve received tons of emails, all of which are short very well written notes, oozing with politeness. Class fans. Nothing imminent, but know that we’re working on it.#SaveTheVentureBros

Although this is exciting, nothing has been confirmed yet. We will have to wait and see how things pan out.

Personal Opinion on Venture Bros

My own personal opinion is that the show will likely continue on HBO Max. Warner is currently desperate for content to bolster Max’s library and increase its foothold in streaming wars.

While the Venture Bros may be a small fanbase, they are a passionate one. The upcoming release of the Snyder Cut proves Warner is willing to listen to the wishes of dedicated fans. Warner is also not above inking deals for more adult-themed comedy series for their new streaming service.

So what do you think about this news on the Venture Bros? Are you excited to see their adventures continue on HBO Max?
