Disney Investor Day 2020 is dropping a whole bunch of new content on us. One of that new content will excite fans of the 2014 hit animated film: Big Hero 6. And that is the new Baymax! series for Disney+.

More of this poofy guy? Yes!

Disney revealed that the director for Big Hero 6, Don Hall, is working on a new Disney+ series simply titled Baymax!. According to Hall, the new series will feature the titular robot as the main character. It’ll be a show in the vein of a slice-of-life anime, where we get to see Baymax going around the city of San Fransokyo performing his duty as a nursing robot.

Each new episode of Baymax! will feature the robot helping a new patient. Baymax will even have a new travel mode that compresses him into a perfectly compact form for fast and easy travel throughout the city. Whether he’ll be road-safe is still unknown. He’ll definitely be sidewalk-safe though.

Baymax! will come to Disney+ in early 2022. Unfortunately, we don’t have a more specific release date than that at this time. We’ll have to wait for Disney to give us more on the subject later.

Conclusion

Big Hero 6 fans rejoice! Baymax! will waddle on over to Disney+ in early 2022. We’ll have to wait later for more official news from Disney. Stay tuned for more as this story develops.
