Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the most recent game in the series, right? If you look at a release calendar, that would be the case. If you’re looking at updates for the games, you might be wrong. For season two, Black Ops Cold War is getting neglected a bit. Between Warzone and it, Call of Duty is pretty lively. For season two, we haven’t actually had that much content in regards to Multiplayer maps. We had Apocalypse, which is a decent map. I don’t give a rat’s ass about Gunfight.

The only other multiplayer map we’re getting is Miami Strike. I have yet to play on that map, but it’s basically a cut down portion of an already existing map. So we get to today’s mid-season update.

Modern Warfare’s Update

So Modern Warfare got not one, not two, but three maps. Sort of, one is a Gunfight map, which once again, no one gives a rat’s ass about. The maps are: an updated Killhouse, Drainage (gunfight), and Al-Raab Airbase.

Al-Raab Airbase

Killhouse

So you’re telling me that Treyarch and Activision couldn’t get more maps for the $60 game that we all bought last November. But they could add three new maps for a game that is now almost two years old? I get them adding content to Warzone, because that’s their cashcow, but frankly, this is a slap in the face to people who bought the actual game.

I love Fireteam: Dirty Bomb, so having a new map for that game mode is nice. But I love playing Call of Duty multiplayer. Black Ops Cold War is so close to being a great game. It has the recipe for a great Call of Duty game. But it’s hampered by the lack of content and timely changes.

The game launched with a paltry amount of maps, and through that time has gotten even worse. If I see another remake of Jungle, I’m going to scream.

This update wasn’t even advertised for Modern Warfare. So what gives? Activision, Treyarch, anyone else, please just give us more Multiplayer content. Make Season Three the Season of Multiplayer or something. Zombies and Outbreak got a huge focus, which is awesome. Give the fans of MP something now.
