Are you looking for new releases in Film or Television to watch this weekend of May 20th!? Well, THS has you covered in our weekly series! So, make sure to come back each week as we compile all of our recommendations for you to check out on your days off.

However, I wanted to break down this list and make it a little more personal. Kind of like when you walk into a book store and see the wall of employee recommendations. So, I’ll be breaking down this list as to what we at THS are watching, not necessarily every single thing releasing.

LAURA’S WATCHING

I’m going to be checking out the new horror movie “Men” from A24 and of course the latest 90-day episode.

SARAH’S WATCHING

I’m all over the place this weekend. I’m going to watch the new horror from A24, Men. As well as, the new Chip n Dale: Rescue Rangers movie! And, as an MGK Fan, I’m going to watch Good Mourning to see if it’s actually any good.

SHAWN’S WATCHING

I’m definitely going to be checking out Night Sky on Prime Video, as well as Angelyne on Peacock!

TOM WATCHING

I’m 100% headed to the theater to watch Downton Abbey: A New Era! As well as, the final episode of Young Justice on HBOMax.

BRIAN’S WATCHING

I’m finally going to watch The Worst Person in the World (2021). It’s an indie film I’ve been wanting to watch for a while. a

BENJY’S WATCHING

I just got a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime! So, I’m going to use it to watch as much of The Expanse and Invincible as I can.

KAT’S WATCHING

I’m mostly watching F1’s Spanish Grand Prix. I might also watch Another Cinderella Story since I found it randomly on one of my streaming apps!

TRAVIS WATCHING

This week I’ll be watching the finale of the first season of Halo on Paramount +.  Also on Paramount +, I’m looking to watch Joe Pickett. It’s a show that completely missed my radar before it started streaming, but looks interesting.

They return to their apartment to pre-game, yet find that their roommate, Carlos (Sebastian Chacon), left the door open. As they enter with trepidation, Sean and Kunle discover a drunk, semi-conscious White female they don’t know on the floor, and an oblivious Carlos, who didn’t hear her comes in over the videogame blaring in his ears. Kunle wants to call the cops but Sean vehemently opposes the idea concerned about how it will look when the cops show up (two Black men, one Latino man, and a passed out White woman).

Together, Carlos, Sean, and Kunle load the girl – who they nickname Goldilocks, but whose real name is Emma (Maddie Nichols) – into Sean’s van, with the intention of taking her somewhere safe rather than calling the police. Meanwhile, Emma’s sister, Maddy (Sabrina Carpenter), has realized that Emma left the party they were at, and begins to search for her in a drunk panic using Emma’s phone’s location. What ensues is a chaotic, hilarious, and tension-filled chase all over town as our trio grapples with their differences while attempting to bring Emma to safety.
