The time to Dream draws closer… During Netflix’s Geeked Week, the streamer revealed new details about the upcoming Sandman series!

The highly anticipated series adapts the comics by Neil Gaiman. A rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama and legend are seamlessly interwoven, The Sandman follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic — and human — mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.

Geeked Week’s Sandman content included exclusive interview clips from the cast and creative team, behind-the-scenes looks at the production, a new trailer, and finally, an official premiere date: August 5.

The series stars Tom Sturridge as Morpheus (aka Dream). Dream’s siblings include Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Mason Alexander Park as Desire, Donna Preston as Despair, and Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer. The project also has a ton of other big names attached, including Patton Oswalt, Jenna Coleman, Stephen Fry,  Joely Richardson, and more.
