Want to experience Comic Con’s stars without ever hitting the con floor? Meta*Pod is for you!

LA Comic Con’s official podcast kicked off May 4 with – what else? – a special Star Wars episode featuring Giancarlo Esposito. In June, even more stars joined Meta*Pod for interviews and exclusive insights. Recent guests include prolific TV sitcom creator Bill Lawrence, known for Scrubs and now Ted Lasso; and comic book writer Stephanie Williams, who discussed her upcoming DC Comics release, Nubia: Queen of the Amazons.

Meta*Pod also hosted a Rick & Morty special episode; The Bacon Brothers (Emmy-nominated actor Kevin Bacon and award-winning composer Michael Bacon); actor Wesley Snipes (Blade, Demolition Man), and more. The podcast will wrap June with an ATLA episode, featuring Dante Basco of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Janet Varney of The Legend of Korra

Hector Navarro and Joelle Monique host Meta*Pod, which debuts new episodes weekly on Wednesdays.

“We couldn’t be happier with how the show has turned out so far,” said Chris DeMoulin, CEO at Comikaze Entertainment, LA Comic Con’s parent company. “Our May the 4th special with Giancarlo was the perfect way to kick off the podcast and every episode since has had its own unique flavor. We truly expect this show to be the staple of nerd podcasts in the future and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the guests who’ve participated so far. Joelle and Hector will continue to bring their energy each week as we keep the ball rolling with iconic guests, podcast crossovers, nerd debates, and so much more. I can’t wait for fans to see what we have planned.”

Fans can expect plenty more appearances from their favorite stars, writers, composers and more to join Meta*Pod. Previous guests include actors Will Friedle, Donald Faison, Seth Green, and Christy Carlson Romano; comic book creators Trina Robbins and Peter David, and Disney animator Willie Ito; and composer Benjamin Wallfisch (Shazam!, Blade Runner 2049, IT).

In addition to its guests, Meta*Pod includes fandom deep dives, trivia battles, musical spotlights, media recommendations and more.

You can listen to new episodes of Meta*Pod on your preferred podcast app each Wednesday. Meta*Pod is an iHeartRadio production.
