There doesn’t seem to be a shortage of MCU content in development nowadays. The films have been setting the box office ablaze with their unbreakable streak of massive hits while the TV side continues to churn out quality content. ABC president Channing Dungey revealed to Deadline during the recent TCAs that the network was currently developing a brand new Marvel series that she couldn’t reveal just yet.

In terms of Marvel, we have some things that we are in discussions with them right now that we are in development. I’m very excited about it.

The wheels never stop turning over at the House of Ideas. We’ve been hearing about various MCU shows in development all throughout the years. Marvel’s Most Wanted was the closest they ever got to launching a spin-off from Marvel TV’s crown jewel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Ghost Rider is a property that the fans have been crying for since the character’s fiery debut in that show. Writer John Ridley has been teasing an unnamed project for years now and we still don’t know what it is. New Warriors has yet to find a permanent home (though it’s looking likely that it’ll land in the Disney streaming service) With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in its sixth season and no future season in sight at the moment, it’ll only be a matter of time until we learn the brand new show being developed for ABC.
