Dark Dunes Productions is headed to Atlanta, Georgia for Dragon Con! While there, the production company will screen their film Yamasong: March of the Hollows, participate in a filmmaker ‘Talkback’ along with several panels featuring director Sam Koji Hale and producer Mallory O’Meara, including: “Under The Puppet: Live,” “The Art of Film Production,” and “Puppet Ninja Warrior” along with several other must-see panels.

Dark Dunes Producer Mallory O’Meara on Yamasong at Dragon Con:

“We like to describe “Yamasong: March of Hollows” as a film in the epic puppet storytelling tradition of “Dark Crystal” meets Studio Ghibli’s “Princess Mononoke, and we can’t wait to share our film with fellow fans and pop culture fiends at Dragon Con this year.”

The story of Yamasong follows an automaton girl and tortoise warrior that journey with a band of outlaws on an incredible quest. Their one hope to defeat a sinister mechanized army and save the creatures of their world is to find a legendary relic.

Yamasong: March of the Hollows is the first major (non-Muppet) puppet film to be made in the US since Team America, with executive producers Toby Froud (son of Brian and Wendy Froud) and Heather Henson (daughter of Jim Henson). The voice talents include Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Fillion, Abigail Breslin, George Takei, Ed Asner, Peter Weller, and Freida Pinto.

Dragon Con Schedule:
Yamasong will be screened twice on 8/31 and 9/2, along with a Filmmaker Talkback.
