Oga’s Cantina set to open in 2019
These are the drinks you’re looking for. Oga’s Cantina will open its doors in 2019 at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts. Located in Black Spire Outpost Oga’s Cantina will be ready to serve the wretched hive of scum and villainy you can expect to find there. Today Scott Trowbridge the Portfolio Creative Executive with Walt Disney Imagineering gave us our first look at what we can expect at Oga’s Cantina.
Never know who you will run into
Oga Garra the alien proprietor tries to keep the peace at his bar. The only problem is it’s reputation of being a haven for Smugglers, bounty hunters, and anyone running from the law. You never know what will happen there. So, come have a drink, meet with a friend or even look for trouble if you must. Whatever you do just keep your eyes open, you never know who will show up. With the kinds of people this cantina attracts, you could see stormtroopers or who knows maybe even a Jedi.
Be ready to have a good time
Whatever happens you know at least you will be able to get a good drink. Now don’t expect your normal drinks and cocktails. They will be served with exotic ingredients and unique vessels that are out of this world. From the littlest alien to the oldest wookiee there is something for everyone on the drink menu.
There will also be plenty of entertainment. RX-24 will be mixing the tunes as the new Cantina’s Droid DJ. If that name sounds familiar he was the former pilot droid of the StarSpeeder 3000 in Star Wars Tours. Time will tell on how the conversion from pilot to DJ will go, but we should get some great music and entertainment during this career change for RX-24.
So, get your speeder ready and cruise on over to Oga’s Cantina. If you like drinks, excitement, and music this looks like the place to be in Black Spire Outpost. You never know what will happen there so be careful who you cross, you wouldn’t want to lose an arm or not shoot first. Are you ready for Oga’s Cantina to open?
