We recently learned that Superman’s iconic love and Daily Planet ace reporter Lois Lane is joining the Arrowverse this fall when she joins the Man of Steel in the epic 3-night event between Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl. Fans have been waiting for many seasons now to see the iconic reporter join the Greg Berlanti franchise of DC shows and this year, that wait finally comes to an end in December.

Arrowverse-Superman

That Hashtag Show is proud to reveal the breakdown of this version of Lois as casting is currently underway. The show is looking to cast a Caucasian woman in her early 30s as Lois Lane. Described as the daughter of US General Sam Lane, Lois is a tenacious, righteous and stubborn reporter who will go to any length to get the story and almost never fails. The breakdown reveals that she will appear in The Flash and Supergirl episodes of the crossover event, meaning that the Arrow portion won’t feature her.

Lois has had her fair share of several live-action performances in the past, with actresses like Erica Durance (Smallville), Teri Hatcher (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Margot Kidder (the Superman franchise), Amy Adams (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Justice League) and the late Noel Neill (Adventures of Superman.) In the Supergirl continuity, Lois has only been mentioned a few times over the course of the series. The biggest presence of the Lane family we have had was in the first season with Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan) and Sam Lane (Glenn Morshower), although we have not seen either two since the Season 1 finale.

It remains to be seen what role Lois will play in the crossover, along with Superman. But it’s still really exciting to see these two iconic DC characters joining our Super-Friends on The CW at last. Hopefully, the legendary reporter will share some scenes with her fellow journalists Iris West (Candice Patton) and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) as that is something fans have been wanting to see too.

The crossover is also set to feature the live-action debut of Kate Kane a.k.a Batwoman who will be played by Ruby Rose. The character is currently in the process of getting her own spin-off as Berlanti and Caroline Dries (Smallville, The Vampire Diaries) are currently developing the series for The CW. The crossover will start filming sometime this fall so it will hopefully not be long till we get a casting for Lois as well as a costume reveal of Rose’s Batwoman.
