If you’re pumped for Bumblebee, the new Transformers movie hitting theaters this Christmas, and live in Southern California you should head down to Universal CityWalk.  Nestled in the center CityWalk is the Buzz Weekend, a 2-day celebration of all things Bumblebee! Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14, 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

You can start with a close-up look of the cool stuff Hasbro is putting out.  The transforming figures, role-play toys, costumes, and even a movie themed bicycle.

Then you can have your face painted by a talented air-brush artist. Or have them stencil an Autobot symbol on your body.  Next you and your friends can take a picture in front of a green screen and be placed next to your favorite yellow Autobot!

For those who need the real deal, you can have your picture taken with a life-size Bumblebee.  Big enough to protect planet Earth from the Decepticons.

Stick around for an 80’s dance party put on by a live DJ.  Show the event crew your moves and get a free Transformers toy!  For those extra lucky, a star from the movie might crash your dance party

Bumblebee is the latest sci-fi action movie in the Transformers film franchise!  Directed by Travis Knight the movie stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., John Ortiz, Jason Drucker, and Pamela Adlon.

Bumblebee is a stand-alone film that takes place in the 1980’s and features the yellow Autobot’s early adventures on Earth.  Bumblebee disguises himself as a Volkswagon Beetle and takes refuge in a California junkyard.  A teenage girl named Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) discovers him and the odd duo form a close friendship.  They find themselves hunted by both the evil Decepticons and a shadowy government group led by Agent Burns (John Cena).  Together, they must complete the Autobot’s mission and protect the Earth.
