Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been open for four months in Disneyland and almost a month in Disney World. Disney Parks has now released some new images, and they are giving us our best look at the area yet.

New Looks At Galaxy’s Edge

This land is one of the most ambitious projects that Walt Disney Imagineering has ever taken on. This amazing land is canon in Star Wars lore. The rustic-inspired look of the area screams Star Wars. Thus, the new land fits right into the Star Wars Universe.

The newest ride at Galaxy’s Edge, Rise Of The Resistance, will open in December in Disney World. Its opening at Disneyland will follow in January. Disney has said that:

“When it opens, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will blur the lines between fantasy and reality and will put guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests will be recruited to join Rey and General Organa at a secret base. Along the way, they will be captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. With the help of some heroes of the Resistance, they break out and must escape the Star Destroyer, protect the secret base, and stay one step ahead of Kylo Ren.”

The Outpost Market

And while at Galaxy’s Edge, don’t forget to check out the rest of the Black Spire Outpost Market.

The market is sprawling with tons of shops, including the Creature Stall and Toydarian Toymaker.

This new area for the Disney Parks is amazing, and so worth going to. If you’re a new/new-ish Star Wars fan like me or an old-school fan, you will love the new area.
