Quicksilver was only in one Marvel film, Avengers: Age of Ultron (Unless you’d like to count a post-credits scene). His character was suave and cool during his time on screen. He met an untimely end, famously, to save Hawkeye during the battle in Sokovia. With new Disney+ shows being able to revive and create arcs for past characters, could we see a return of the mutant brother of Scarlet Witch? According to Screen Rant and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, that could be closer than we think.

Is there any possibility? I don’t know. There has not been a… well, not this season but, I think there needs to be a discussion about how to bring that character back without it having sort of odd repercussions, I think. And there has been. There has been, but there will be no appearance. It’s all because I suppose really, there’s been no discussion when these questions come about how I should really go about answering them. I think we’re both open to possibilities, like the Marvel Universe like it has been over the years, but obviously yes, I’m aware of the Disney + platform and all of the shows that are going and I’m still in touch with a lot of the people. I mean, I think it’s safe to say that no, I’m not gonna… there will be no appearance of me coming out or Quicksilver appearing anytime soon.

Quicksilver’s Impact

That quote isn’t great for giving us definitive information. They’ve had meetings or discussions but not really? We know he won’t be in the show WandaVision or in the What If? show. The quote doesn’t really give us anything else but that. Personally, I loved the Marvel version of Quicksilver over the Fox version. Aaron Taylor-Johnson gave him a personality much like the comics without going too over the top. His death in Age of Ultron was a heartbreaking one. I don’t feel like it was completely necessary in the grand scope of things for the MCU. He could have lived on and the dynamic between him and Vision would have been hilarious.
