The Metal Hall of Fame has a stacked lineup of inductees for 2020. The ceremony and gala is happening on January 15th, 2020 in Anaheim, California. The list of stars being inducted is staggering. Headlining the inductees is the virtuoso, Steve Vai.

Steve Vai is a legend among guitar players around the world. His style of play echoes that of classical players but with a heavy metal flair. Replicated by millions, but he’s one in a million. Vai has an extensive solo career and also has performed in Whitesnake, Alcatrazz, David Lee Roth’s solo band, and many others. His guitar work has inspired tons of people to pick up their axe and shred away.

Other Inductees to the Metal Hall of Fame

Steve Vai isn’t the only guitar shredder to be inducted this year. The remaining members of the class aren’t slouches when it comes to producing and playing great heavy metal music. In addition to Vai, the other inductees are: Joe Satriani, Graham Bonnet, Stephen Pearcy, Geoff Tate, Don Dokken, Chris Poland, Prong, Stone City Attractions, and Metal Church. That’s a lineup sure to please any fan of heavy metal music.

In the age of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not exactly putting in Rock and Roll artists, there has to be a place to celebrate and immortalize these legends of the Heavy Metal genre. That’s the mission statement of the Metal Hall of Fame. In addition to enshrining these great artists, the Metal Hall of Fame works with the D.A.D. Program (Drums and Disabilities) and the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. So not only do you get a jam-packed night of heavy metal greatness, you get it for great causes too.

The event wouldn’t be a celebration of heavy metal music without an all-star performance from the inductees. It’s not announced which inductees will perform, what they’ll perform, but it’s sure to be awesome no matter what. With a collection of talent going in like this, it’ll be hard to one-up this class.
