Saved by the Bell, the 2020 edition, just got a premier date of November 25, 2020 from Peacock.

You’d think the large tropical bird wandering the halls would attract some attention.

Peacock’s announcement of Saved by the Bell‘s premier date is a much-needed breath of fresh air in these trying times. Especially since all the schools here in the U.S. are still in lockdown. So on November 25, less than 2 months away at the time of this writing, you can watch the 2020 edition of Saved by the Bell, and remember the good ol’ days when we still had schools.

Whee! Public education!

For those of you unaware of what this is, this 2020 edition of Saved by the Bell is the direct sequel to the original Saved by the Bell TV series back in 1989. Well, technically, that’s not quite accurate. It’s the second sequel, but no one remembers The College Years, so it’s okay.

The one "Saved by the Bell" sequel series no one remembers.
Did anyone watch this? Like, at all?

This 2020 sequel will apparently focus on the children of the Saved by the Bell‘s cast, with the latter making cameo appearances. Although, Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) and A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) will be main characters in the series. The former will play the rather overexcited mother of one of the new cast, and the latter will play a rather immature gym teacher.

A.C. Slater, don’t ever change.

According to the premise of Saved by the Bell, Gov. Zack Morris gets into some hot water when he closes down several underfunded high schools. As a public apology, he sends the most affected students to some of the most prestigious high schools in the state, which just happens to include one Bayside High. Bayside is now apparently full of rich kids who have no clue what the outside world is like. Thus, it’s up to these new kids to give them all a double dose of reality, for better or worse.

Conclusion

Saved by the Bell, the 2020 edition, will premier on Peacock on November 25, 2020. Peacock is free to watch with ads, so it might be worth your time to check it out.
