We went through so much with The New Mutants. Through not only the Disney-Fox merger, but a pandemic, the film was finally released earlier this year. But this article isn’t going to necessarily be a review of the film, just what you can expect out of the home video releases.

This is going over the Ultimate Collector’s Edition of the film. So if you have the barebones release, sorry, this isn’t for you. The film recently came out on 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray on November 17th. For a new film, this one has a solid variety of extras. It’s not anything to write home about, but it’s more than just the theatrical trailer and the movie.

If you’re wondering about the 4K transfer of the film, it looks beautiful. The upgrade that people are making to 4K definitely changes just how movies can look. With newer movies it’s even more jarring to see it as opposed to the standard 1080P. I don’t have Dolby Atmos, but I can assume that would sound fantastic with this film.

It might not be the best X-Men related film and we had to wait ages for it, but the film looks and sounds wonderful. If you have a kickass sound system, even better.

Check out the film for yourself on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, 4K Digital, and MoviesAnywhere right now. It’s available anywhere you can get movies.
