It’s a great day to be a Sandman fan.

First, Netflix announced its core cast for the upcoming series. And now we know The Sandman will live on in audio format, too.

The first installment of Audible’s Sandman adaptation debuted in July 2020. And it wasn’t just a bestseller. It became the most pre-ordered original in Audible history. So really, it’s no surprise the series has officially received the green light to continue.

Act I adapts the first three of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman graphic novels. Today, Audible confirmed both Act II and Act III, so fans can expect a lot more Morpheus coming their way.

“We cannot wait for listeners to enter The Dreaming again and wanted to give fans even more to look forward to by greenlighting not just one season but the next TWO highly anticipated installments,” said Rachel Ghiazza, Head of US Content at Audible.

Act II will adapt Season of Mists, Distant Mirrors, A Game of You, and Convergence. Act III brings in Brief Lives and Worlds Ends.

Dirk Maggs will once again adapt and direct the upcoming installments. Gaiman also returns as co-executive producer, creative director, and narrator.

“It was thrilling to be a part of the fastest-selling Audible fiction title and to watch it break records. I’m excited to discover what other surprises the genius Dirk Maggs has up his sleeve in the next volumes of Audible’s The Sandman,” said Gaiman. “And soon it will be time to meet the whole family, then to go back to Hell once more, as Morpheus confronts Lucifer in Season of Mists.”

Between the Audible audio drama, the original comics, and the upcoming Netflix series, you can pretty much get your Sandman fix in any medium you like.
