Batwoman has cast a major villain set to recur for the remainder of season 2. Peter Outerbridge will play Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask.

The Black Mask storyline will play a significant role in the rest of the season. By day, Roman is a pragmatic and charismatic CEO who plays the “white knight” against Gotham’s corrupt systems. As Black Mask, an evil mastermind with a deep hatred of The Crows and masked vigilantes, he is willing to tear down Gotham to enact his revenge.

The character recently appeared as the main villain in the movie Birds of Prey. In the film Ewan McGregor played the character.

Outerbridge has dipped into genre TV many times before. He appeared in The Umbrella Academy, 12 Monkeys, Orphan Black, The Expanse, and more.

The Batwoman series on the CW is part of the network’s lineup of DC TV shows. Javica Leslie currently stars as Batwoman. But the show recently announced Wallis Day would take over the role of the caped crimefighter in season 3.
