Well, it looks like the legendary Sonic Team developers have a new game for us. Guess what? It stars our lovable blue hedgehog hero, but what did you expect from developers with that name? Heck, they’ve even got a new teaser trailer for us today.
Admittedly, there’s not much of substance in this still-untitled Sonic Team game teaser trailer, brought to us courtesy of IGN. All we get is an admittedly very high quality and detailed animation of Sonic the Hedgehog running at his usual speeds. The only difference is that he is glowing blue and leaving pixels behind him for some reason. He also runs in a specific pattern, leaving a logo on the ground. They don’t explain what this logo means though, so that’s a bummer. Presumably, it’s part of the game, but that’s about it.
Sonic Team’s Latest Project: Any Actual Information?
There is some actual information in this Sonic Team game teaser trailer though. Apparently, this Sonic game has a release date of 2022. Yeah, that’s it. Nothing more specific than that, I’m afraid. Next year, we’ll just have to see what this untitled Sonic the Hedgehog game is all about.
There’s also a bit more in the way of info about this untitled Sonic Team game. This game will apparently be for the PC (likely via Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. Clearly, someone is intending to hit all the systems at once. Hopefully, us PC users won’t have to deal with ultra-high graphics card requirements to run this game.
Sonic Team has just unveiled their newest Sonic the Hedgehog game in the form of this teaser trailer. While it doesn’t contain much of note beyond some cool visuals, there is some actual info in it. We’ll get to see this game in 2022, and it’ll be for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. We’ll just have to wait for more info later.
