No, you’re not dreaming. The Sandman is coming to Netflix, and we’ve got a new look at what to expect from the series.

During Netflix’s TUDUM, creator Neil Gaiman joined stars Tom Sturridge and Kirby Howell-Baptiste to reveal an exclusive look at the series. Gaiman expressed his excitement to finally bring The Sandman to the screen decades after the original comics.

“I think this is how it was always supposed to happen,” Gaiman said.

Netflix then revealed the very first look at footage from the series, which shows the beginning of it all: Morpheus’s capture.

The Sandman series will adapt Neil Gaiman’s popular graphic novels. The story follows Morpheus, aka the Lord of Dreams. Sturridge will star as Morpheus, and Howell-Baptiste plays Death. The star-studded cast also includes Gwendoline Christie, Patton Oswalt, Jenna Coleman, David Thewlist, and more.

Following the TUDUM presentation, the official Sandman social accounts debuted character posters, offering fans a closer look at Dream, Death, and Desire.
