The final season of The Expanse is here! This season picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros (Keon Alexander) and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer (Cara Gee) and what’s left of her family are on the run and hunted for betraying Marco.

Interview Cara Gee and Keon Alexander

In this Interview with Cara Gee and Keon Alexander, we discuss what it’s like working together after being long-time friends… As well as what it’s like playing two enemies. It feels like a story that has come full circle both as actors and as friends.

When asked what it was like getting through some of the more intense scenes, Cara Gee told us:

“There were some really hard scenes for Drummer this season and as low as she feels, there’s also something weird that happens as an actor. If you’re really in it in channeling this character than you’re flying, kind of. So it’s kind of like this amazing feeling at the same time as this kind of awful feeling. It’s quite an experience.”

When asked the same question, Keon Alexander discussed what was like for him to prepare for a character as intense and passionate as Marcos Inaros.

“You have to keep the engine going… It’s like this guy has so much energy and so much fire and is so alive, that I think my main job is to stoke that fire to keep that engine going, so that he is almost larger than life, in the way that he imagines himself to be. Because if I were to let that go down, if that were to deflate a bit, then maybe the ego would seem to be a little more deflated than it is in reality.”
