Now that Spider-man: No Way Home has been released, MCU fans have begun to turn their attention to the next Marvel Studios feature file release, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which of course means the rumor watch is in full swing. One such rumor being reported by The Illuminerdi, is one that should make MCU fans very interested.

The Illuminerdi has reported that John Krasinski may have filmed scenes as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic for the upcoming film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Krasinski has long been a favorite fan casting for the role of Mr. Fantastic, so this is certainly exciting news for MCU fans. It is believed that the version of Mr. Fantastic being portrayed by Krasinski in the film is a variant version of Reed Richards from a different universe.
Will We See John Krasinski in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness?
If this rumor turns out to be true, could this appearance as a variant version set the stage for Krasinski to play another version of Richards in the “original” MCU universe? Or will Marvel Studios simply bring the Fantastic Four from this variant universe into the MCU, and potentially avoid having to answer in-universe where they have been this whole time? Unfortunately, at this time there are simply more questions than answers. As we continue to approach the release of the film there will certainly be more characters and casting rumors that are leaked.
Ever since Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President, at The Walt Disney Company’s Investor Day in 2020 announced Marvel Studios would be bringing the Fantastic Four into the MCU, fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Marvel’s First Family. With the introduction of the multiverse into the MCU, first, in the Disney+ series Loki and further expanded on in Spider-man: No Way Home, Marvel Studios seems to have laid the foundation needed for the introduction of the Fantastic Four and other untold Marvel stories.
