Interview with the Vampire isn’t the only Anne Rice novel getting a series adaptation at AMC. Joining in the fun is also, Mayfair Witches. According to Variety, it seems the series has found its Rowan in Alexandra Daddario!
Rowan is a brilliant doctor who struggles with her fate as the heir to a family of very powerful witches. Alexandra Daddario, if you recall, made it to my Top 5 List of actresses who I felt could play Princess Irulan in Dune 2. Now, it seems, she may be too busy. Daddario has incredible acting chops and range! All of which you can see from her performances in the drama White Lotus, to the rom-com Can You Keep A Secret. She’s also no stranger to the mystical world since she portrayed Anna-Beth in the original Percy Jackson films.
Personally, I think she is a GREAT choice for Rowan, and AMC seems to think so too. Check out his statement from Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC studios for AMC Networks.

WHAT IS MAYFAIR WITCHES
AMC’s Mayfair Witches has been given an eight-episode first season order. AMC is planning to launch the show on its linear channel and streamer AMC Plus later in 2022.
The Lives of the Mayfair Witches is a trilogy that centers around a family of witches, the Mayfairs. However, the family’s fortunes have been guided for generations by a demon named Lasher. Originally summoned by witch Suzanne Mayfair in the 1600s, under his influence the Mayfairs become incredibly wealthy. They are also able to attract and manipulate things in their lives.
After the death of her estranged mother, Rowan is shocked to find herself named the heir of the Mayfair family fortune. Lasher believes she is the one who will give him a chance to rejoin the living.
