So it seems Netflix really wants to have all of the Fullmetal Alchemist live action films, ending with Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy. I guess they realized just how many FMA fans there are.

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy ~ Release Date

Is it just me, or is there a lot more green than I remember from this scene?

Comic Book has just revealed the release date for Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy. Apparently, we’ll get to see the final part of this live-action adaptation trilogy of one of the best (if not the best) manga and anime in history on September 24, 2022. As of this writing, that’s less than a month away. So you won’t have long to wait to see how this live-action film adaptation ends.

As you might expect though, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy will be a Netflix exclusive. You know, just like the other films of this trilogy? Thus, if you want to watch this finale, then you’re going to have to shell out cash for a Netflix subscription.

Fullmetal Alchemist Live-Action Adaptation: Details

I have to admit: the CG looks surprisingly good.

The Fullmetal Alchemist live-action film trilogy is the live-action adaptation of the anime of the same name, which itself is the anime adaptation of the steampunk dark fantasy adventure manga of the same name by Hiromu Arakawa (Silver Spoon, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Daemons of the Shadow Realm). The live-action film star Ryosuke Yamada in the lead role as Edward Elric, with Atomu Mizuishi costarring as Alphonse Elric, Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell, Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang, and Misako Renbutsu as Riza Hawkeye. Fumihiko Sori is the director and is one of the screenwriters alongside Takeshi Miyamoto. Square Enix produced these films alongside OXYBOT Inc.. Warner Bros. Pictures Japan distributed this film in, well, Japan; with Netflix distributing it internationally.

As for what Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy, in particular, is about? Well, Netflix does have a short synopsis for us. Check it out below:

“The Elric brothers’ long and winding journey comes to a close in this epic finale, where they must face off against an unworldly, nationwide threat.”

You can not only watch Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy only on Netflix, but you can also watch the previous pair of live-action film adaptations (Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Revenge of Scar) only on Netflix.
