Los Angeles Comic Con is introducing a special virtual mini-convention experience next month.

Micro Con will pack all the features of an IRL convention into a special 4-hour, action-packed virtual event on April 17. The event features exclusive content from your favorite casts, creators, and artists, including live panels and Q&As.

But unlike other virtual convention experiences, Micro Con wants to give you more than just the panels. Because a big part of the Con experience is all the awesome merch!

Micro Con attendees will be the first to explore the launch of the digital Con shopping experience, SuperFan Mall. SuperFan Mall was designed by game developers to replicate the fun of roaming the merch aisles as a VR experience. The immersive experience will feature over 100 exhibitors and artists, including some from other Cons around the US.

You can read a statement from LACC about Micro Con below.

This has been a difficult year for all of us, personally and professionally. We’ve watched our entire industry shut down and we’re just now beginning to see hope for recovery. Our team at LA Comic Con brainstormed how we could unite the Con community while we await the return of in-person events. Micro Con is our answer, bringing together the best of the Comic Con experience through a virtual format, employing new innovative approaches in order to involve the global Con audience into our events. We are very excited about the launch of the SuperFan Mall to give our exhibitors the opportunity to put their great work on display.

The digital event is presented by Sideshow, which will also feature custom booth tours displaying collectibles from fan-favorite franchises like Star Wars, Marvel, and DC – just another way Micro Con will give fans that Con Floor experience from home.

In addition to the “Main Stage” panels, fans can sign up for digital meet-and-greets sponsored by Peeq.

Micro Con will take place Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 11am – 3pm PST. Tickets are available now. General Admission costs $15 and VIP $35. Digital meet-and-greets range from $50 to $100.

At this time, LA Comic Con still plans to host its postponed 2020 convention in person September 24-26.
