Halo Infinite isn’t out yet, so where did The Art of Halo Infinite come from? Well, let’s find out, shall we?

Now out before the game is even launched! (Just kidding)

A Time-Travelling Book?

For those of you who may be a bit confused as to why there’s an article of The Art of Halo Infinite before the game is even out, there’s a reason for that. To start with, let’s go over the details. The Art of Halo Infinite will be the official artbook for the upcoming and highly anticipated Halo Infinite by 343 Industries. Made in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics, the artbook will feature 200 pages of artwork from the game drawn by the very artists themselves. And that’s just for the Standard Edition.

The Deluxe Edition of The Art of Halo Infinite will have even more stuff. The Deluxe Edition will have all the same content as the Standard Edition, but will have a completely different cover. This cover will be designed to look like the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor System the Master Chief (AKA: John-117) wears in-game. There’s also going to be some more stuff in it, but that’s still unknown at this time. Hopefully, Dark Horse Comics will give us some more details as to what’s actually in the Deluxe Edition before anyone buys it. Or in this case, preorders it.

It’s Not Actually Out Yet!

Yes, you heard that right. The Art of Halo Infinite isn’t actually out yet. It will go on sale alongside Halo Infinite in Holiday 2020. We still don’t know exactly when the game will release, only that this artbook will launch at the same time.

However, even though it hasn’t come out yet, you can still preorder The Art of Halo Infinite from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or your closest comic book shop. At the time of this article, only the Standard Edition is available for preorder for $39.99. The Deluxe Edition will be available for $79.99 at some point in the future. When that will be is still unknown. However, I would recommend against preordering it until we actually find out what’s in it. Paying $80 for what amounts to a loot box doesn’t sound like a good idea to me.

But hey, it’s your money.

Conclusion

The Art of Halo Infinite will be a pretty cool promotion of the game by Dark Horse Comics, especially if you’re into Halo art, or just sci-fi art in general. It will be pretty pricey, even at the Standard Edition, but if you like that sort of thing, look forward to Holiday 2020 when Halo Infinite actually launches. Given the quality of Halo‘s artbooks so far, you likely won’t regret it.
