Toss a coin to your streamer… Netflix just dropped a Witcher special.

The 30-minute behind-the-scenes special takes a look at the creation of the series. The special includes interviews with showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich and the cast, including lead Henry Cavill.

The official description for Making The Witcher on Netflix reads as follows:

“Journey into the extraordinary world of The Witcher – from casting the roles to Jaskier’s catchy song – in this behind-the-scenes look at the series.”

Check out the trailer for the special below.

Netflix’s The Witcher follows Geralt (Henry Cavill), a monster hunter known as The Witcher. But in this dark fantasy world, people can prove more wicked than beasts.

The Witcher Season 2

Production recently resumed on the second season of The Witcher. The series opted to restart filming with new COVID-19 safety measures in place.

Hissrich tweeted about the precautions, showing the cast and crew wearing face masks.

Cavill also posted about heading back to set – but not relating to COVID safety measures. Instead he offered a look at the process of transforming into Geralt.

Season two will see the return of Geralt of Rivia, as well as Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and Ciri (Freya Allan). New cast members include Kim Bodnia as Vesemir, Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, and Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen.

The release date for season 2 has not yet been set. Since production only just resumed though, it seems safe to assume fans will still have a bit of a wait to go.

The first season of the series as well as the Making The Witcher can be streamed on Netflix now.
