They’re creepy, they’re kooky, and they’re headed back to the big screen. MGM announced The Addams Family will return for a sequel next Halloween.

There’s been a few iterations of the spooky family over the years. This sequel brings back the animated Addams family. Most of the voice cast from the 2019 flick will return. Stars include Charlize Theron as Morticia, Oscar Isaac as Gomez, and Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday. In The Addams Family 2, Javon “Wanna” Walton joins the cast as Pugsley.

Watch the first teaser for the movie below.

The returning cast rounding out the Addams family includes Nick Kroll (Fester), Bette Midler (Grandma), and Snoop Dogg (It). Addams Family 2 will also introduce Bill Hader as an all new character, Cyrus.

Director Greg Tiernan will also return for the sequel.

“The success of last year’s animated film was proof of the enduring legacy of The Addams Family and its ability to transcend popular culture. This second film will be every bit as fun as the original. We are thrilled to welcome Bill Hader and Javon Walton, and to welcome back our incredible original cast for this exciting next chapter in the Addams’s journey,” said Tiernan.

The Addams Family 2 will hit theaters October 8, 2021.
