WandaVision is one of the most popular TV series in demand in the USA right now, whether on Disney+ or anywhere else. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s number one on the list. In fact, it’s not even close.

Practically a minnow in comparison to the others.

Recently, Parrot Analytics released a report detailing the US TV demand of specific shows from January 31, 2021 to February 6, 2021; compared to the market average. What they found was that WandaVision was 60 times more in demand than all other digital-only series. The show actually managed to knock Stranger Things off the top three list, down into fourth place.

Not quite strange enough, it seems.

Alas, the happy(?) couple of Wanda and Vision are still only at third place here. Second place goes to The Mandalorian, proving that Din Djarin and his kid, Baby Yoda/Grogu, are still much more popular. And by extension, Star Wars‘ popularity over the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well. I mean, The Mandalorian was apparently 63.1 times more popular than the average TV show. What do you expect?

This is the way.

Unfortunately, another series beats both even The Mandalorian and WandaVision. At 65.3 times more popular than the average TV show, Cobra Kai occupies the top spot on digital-only shows. Yes, apparently this sequel/spinoff of Karate Kid from Netflix is surprisingly good.

Karate never dies.

WandaVision: Definitely a Small Fish

Very small fish indeed.

The numbers get even worse for WandaVision if you add in all the current TV shows, not just the digital-only ones. In that list, they’re only at seventh place. My Hero Academia actually beats out all three of the top runners there, with its 71.2 times popularity greater than the average TV show. Guess Izuku and Class 1-A are still rocking the top spots of TV land.

Marvel, you can go and suck it.

And for all that My Hero Academia so handily trounces WandaVision, it’s still only in fourth place. The top three shows on this list are, in order from bottom to top: Saturday Night Live, Spongebob Squarepants, and Attack on Titan. Yes, that’s right. Attack on Titan is the most popular TV show in the US right now. The demand for this dark fantasy, action-thriller anime is at 110.5 times greater than the average TV show. I guess it proves that deep down, we’re all anime fans.

Conclusion

WandaVision is pretty popular right now. However, it’s still got a way to go before it can compete with Netflix or even anime in general. But, that doesn’t mean that it’s a bad show. If you want to check it out, head on over to Disney+ and judge for yourself whether it’s better or worse than Cobra Kai, My Hero Academia, or Attack on Titan.
