Your favorite bad-mouthed teddy bear will return to your screen. Peacock has ordered a Ted TV series.

The show will be based on the hit Universal Pictures flicks Ted and Ted 2 from creator Seth MacFarlane. MacFarlane is currently in negotiations to reprise his role as the voice of Ted himself.

In the original film, Boston native John (Mark Wahlberg) brings his teddy bear to life with a childhood wish. But in adulthood, Ted prevents John and his girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis) from moving on with his life.

2012’s Ted proved a huge box office hit. It became the highest grossing original R-rated comedy of all time. Collectively, Ted and its sequel grossed more than $750 million worldwide.

MacFarlane will executive produce the live-action Peacock series along with Erica Huggins for Fuzzy Door. He is well known for his work on long-running TV series like Family Guy and American Dad.

We don’t have any more details about the series just yet. But check back to THS for more updates.

So, what do you think of this news? Will you watch a Ted TV series? Or were you satisfied with just the movies? Let us know in the comments.
