What’s your favorite scary movie?

If you said Scream, you’re in for a treat this Halloween. To celebrate the upcoming release of Scream 5 in January, Paramount, Spyglass, and Airbnb have teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind fan experience. A few superfans will be able to spend the night in the original Scream house, AND meet Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) himself.

The Ultimate Scream Airbnb Experience

Sheriff Dewey will host three one-night stays for up to four people on October 27, 29, and 31. Booking costs only $5/night (plus taxes + fees). During their stay, guests will experience:

  • A virtual greeting at check-in from Dewey (as long as Ghostface doesn’t catch him first).
  • The chance to explore the house in all its original glory, from knife marks on the doors to the garage where Dewey’s sister Tatum met her unfortunate demise.
  • A movie marathon featuring all four Scream films (on VHS, of course) to get caught up ahead of the next release.
  • A dedicated phone line for reaching Ghostface, in case victims (ahem, guests) dare to ask any questions or make requests — but watch out, he might just call the house, too.
  • Classic 90s snack favorites, like Jiffy Pop, ice cream with all the Reddi-whip you could ever want, and pizza, if you’re able to stomach it.
  • The chance to take home unique memorabilia, including a DVD bundle of the first four Scream films, Woodsboro High gear, Scream (2022) posters and more.

Obviously, at a max of four people/night and with the experience only running for three nights, this one will have some steep competition to grab a spot. So, make sure your clicking finger is ready come 1pm EST on October 12 – that’s when booking officially opens on Airbnb.

But if you can’t travel to Northern California (or the in person experience just sells out), don’t worry. You can still take part in a special virtual Scream experience just in time for Halloween.

Secrets of Scream Online Experience

Original Scream screenwriter Kevin Williamson will host an online experience, “Secrets of Scream,” on October 28. During the experience, Williamson will reveal behind-the-scenes secrets of the original  film, as well as details about the upcoming Scream 5. Tickets for this virtual experience also go on sale October 12 at 1pm EST. 100% of the proceeds from Secrets of Scream will be donated to The Trevor Project.
