Mr.Stay Puft!” He might have tried to destroy New York City but you can not help to love the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. Not only has this puffy destructor ginging us a lot of great memories from the 1984 Ghostbusters film but from the animated series as well. Also with everything old becoming new again, we have also got some great Stay-Puft collectibles as well, and one company to thank for that is Diamond Select Toys.

If you are a bust, statue, or action figure collector then you already know about most of the great items that Diamond Select Toys and Gentle Giant Ltd have to offer. Of course one of those items, the Mr. Stay Puft Legends in 3-Dimensions Bust comes from one of my all-time favorite movies, Ghostbusters. Now, this may not be a new item, but if you are a Ghostbusters collector you might want to grab it before it is too late.

Retailing at $175 this resin bust stands stand at about 10-inches tall and features detailed sculpting and paint applications. Mr. Stay Puft is currently a last-chance item on diamondselecttoys.com and is only limited to 1000 pieces. Well, thanks to our friends over at Diamond Select Toys and Gentle Giant Ltd I was able to get one of these Busts to review for you. Pros Of The Mr. Stay Puft Legends in 3-Dimensions Bust

• If you are the leave it in the box type of collector you will like how the box looks. This box has a picture of the bust on the front and the details of the bust on the back. This box would look good displayed in a collection.
• This statue is also packaged very well. It fits securely between two styrofoam pieces.
• For people who like things simple this Stay Puft comes as one piece and is display ready out of the box.
• The detailed sculpting and paint applications bring this bust to life. From the I’m going to destroy you look of Mr. Stay Puft to the details of the “Spook Central” base this bust takes you back to Ghostbuster 1984.
• Weighing in at over four pounds the weight of this bust and the wide base gives Mr. Stay Puft a good center of gravity so it will not tip over easily.
• Each bust comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Cons Of The Mr. Stay Puft Legends in 3-Dimensions Bust

• While the overall paint and details look great on Mr. Stay Puft there are some areas around the neck and the hat where the paint lines are not even. Most noticeable on the back of the bust.
• There are a few areas on the hat that the blue paint went into the white area and some of the white paint is bleading through the blue band on the hat as well.

My Final Thoughts

As a diehard Ghostbusters fan, I was very excited to have the opportunity to review the Mr. Stay Puft Legends in 3-Dimensions Bust from Diamond Select Toys. This bust looks amazing and is definitely centerpiece worthy for any ghostbusters collection. While there are a few paint flaws, they are hard to notice and do not take away from the look of the bust. The Mr. Stay Puft Legends in 3-Dimensions Bust is a piece you will not want to miss out on, and with it limited to just 1000 pieces you know it won’t be around forever.
