It seems that Crunchyroll Expo 2022 really wants to hype up the long-awaited Mob Psycho 100 III: the third season of one of the best anime series ever made. Why else would they premiere the first 2 episodes there?

Mob at Crunchyroll Expo 2022?!

All that’s missing from this is Mob himself.

Crunchyroll has just announced that this year’s Crunchyroll Expo will feature the debut of Ep. 1 and Ep. 2 of Mob Psycho 100 III. Along with all of the new guests (including the president and co-founder of the animation studio behind Mob Psycho 100 himself) making an appearance, it seems that they’re trying hard to make up for all the virtual expos of the previous few years. It’s no wonder, given the somewhat underwhelming nature of those virtual expos.

Unfortunately, Crunchyroll makes no mention of specifically when during Crunchyroll Expo 2022 we will get to see these first 2 episodes of Mob Psycho 100 III. All we know is that the episodes will debut August 5 to August 7, 2022 during the Expo. Said Expo will take place at San Jose, California. You can purchase tickets at Crunchyroll Expo 2022’s official website.

Mob Psycho 100 III is the long-awaited third season of the hit anime Mob Psycho 100, which is the anime adaptation of the equally-as-hit supernatural action-comedy manga of the same name by ONE (One-Punch Man). Bones (Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist, My Hero Academia) remains the animation studio behind this anime. Takahiro Hasui is the director for this new season, with Yuzuru Tachikawa returning as the chief director. Hiroshi Seko returns as the writer, with Kenji Kawai returning to compose the music. Finally, Crunchyroll has licensed this anime for streaming.

As for what this third season is about? Well, Crunchyroll is currently streaming it, and thus have an official synopsis for it. Check it out below:

“Kageyama Shigeo, a.k.a. “Mob,” is a boy who has trouble expressing himself, but who happens to be a powerful esper. Mob is determined to live a normal life and keeps his ESP suppressed, but when his emotions surge to a level of 100%, something terrible happens to him! As he’s surrounded by false espers, evil spirits, and mysterious organizations, what will Mob think? What choices will he make? The anime based on the original story by ONE, the idol of the webcomic world and creator of One-Punch Man, is coming your way with animation by leading animation studio Bones!”

Mob Psycho 100 III will make its official debut on Crunchyroll sometime in October 2022. You can watch all of the previous seasons of this anime on Crunchyroll or Funimation.
