The Dutchman – In theaters this weekend
Andre Gaines’ latest film stars Andre Holland and Cape Mara. Holland is Clay, a businessman in therapy with his wife Kaia, played by Zazie Beetz. Unfortunately for this couple, their therapist isn’t what he seems. Based on a play from the 1960s, Gaines’s portrayal brings a fun contemporary tilt to the proceedings. All this Hodge plays a role here and Stephen Henderson brings just the right amount of menace as Doctor Armiri.
Marty Supreme – In theaters this weekend.

The hype train continues unabated. Timothy Chalamet stars as Marty Mauser in Joshua Safdie’s Ticking time bomb of a movie. Marty Supreme is the kind of A24 picture that drips with style. Both Gwyneth Paltrow and Tyler the Creator deserve some real love here as well. Marty is kind of a jerk throughout the entire film, and he needs people to bounce off of for Chalamet’s performance to land with the audience. If there was an Oscar for movie marketing, this one would be in the running
