One of the most beloved actresses of all-time, Catherine O’Hara, has passed away at the age of 71. She was known for her work in Home Alone, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Best In Show, Schitt’s Creek, and plenty of other projects, passed away Friday. Most people would know her as the mom from the first two Home Alone films, or as Moira Rose in 80 episodes of Schitt’s Creek for more modern audiences. She also played plenty of iconic roles in films like Best In Show, Beetlejuice, A Mighty Wind, and recently in The Studio. She earned an Emmy nomination for her role in that AppleTV series. She also won an Emmy for her role in Schitt’s Creek.

She was born in Toronto, Canada as the sixth of seven children, she met her husband Bo Welch on the set of Beetlejuice, and they have two children together, Matthew and Luke.

Catherine was 71. Our condolences go out to her friends, her family, and her fans out there today.
