This weekend’s box office continued the recent pattern of muted returns. No film cracked truly breakout territory, and the top five clustered tightly together. As it was Superbowl weekend, this was to be expected

Send Help Holds the Line

Send Help

Send Help took first place with $10.0 million.

This is not a dominant win, but it is a win nonetheless. The film managed to stay on top in a soft market, even as overall attendance remained sluggish. The 47% drop suggests limited urgency among moviegoers, but being the top choice in a slow frame still counts for something.

Solo Mio Finds an Audience

Solo Mio followed closely behind with $7.2 million.

Landing just a few million shy of first place, this result points to solid interest. It did enough to stay competitive, but not enough to reshape the weekend. In a stronger marketplace, this would feel minor. Right now, it looks perfectly average.

Iron Lung Slips but Stays Visible

Iron Lung added $6.0 million.

The drop was expected after last weekend’s debut, especially for a genre driven title. Horror tends to burn fast, and this run is following that familiar curve. Even so, it is still holding attention better than many releases in this crowded and low energy market.

Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience Draws Fans

Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience earned $5.6 million.

As expected, this was driven almost entirely by a dedicated fanbase. Event style releases like this live or die by turnout, and the fans showed up. It may not have broad appeal, but it delivered exactly what it was designed to do.

Dracula Rounds Out the Top Five

Dracula closed out the weekend with $4.5 million.

The gothic icon still has name recognition, but this result shows the limits of nostalgia alone. Without a strong hook or must see buzz, audiences treated it as optional viewing. In a slow weekend, that was still enough to land in the top five.

Next Weekend’s Predictions

Next week sees the release of GOAT and Wuthering Heights.

Wuthering Heights is tracking for $45 million to $60 million. A $48 million opening seems likely, considering the soft promotion of this one. Still, it’ll undoubtedly be in first place.

GOAT is tracking for $14.5 million to $20.5 million. A $17 million opening and a second-place spot are almost assuredly how it’ll land.

As always, we’ll find out next week.
